He has been with Northwest Oral Surgeons since 1998. He received his BS in biology as well as his DDS degree from the University of Iowa. The University of Iowa Dental College awarded him the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors fraternity and he was given the Iowa Oral Surgeons Award. His specialty board certification came in 2000. His wife, Ingrid, has practiced general dentistry on Michigan Avenue in Chicago since 1994.
Dr. Wolf has experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Wolf was recently awarded the “best office to work in” honor from the Indiana University Northwest Dental students. He has privileges for admission, consultation and treatment at Munster Community Hospital. He has a special interest in jaw reconstruction with regenerative bone procedures and dental implants. He sees patients for facial pain and temporomandibular pain and dysfunction, focusing on reversible and minimally invasive therapies such as arthrocentesis, which can easily be performed in the office. He has extensive experience in orthognathic surgery (correction of jaw deformities).
Office-based general anesthesia or sedation is a critical aspect of Dr. Wolf’s practice. This anesthetic option allows patients to be treated with a high level of comfort and limits the anxiety that can surround surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia.
Dr. Wolf is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Association, and the Northwest Indiana Dental Society. Dr. Wolf is a member of the ITI which is an international team of experts in dental implants. He has been active in organized dentistry, serving as president of the local dental society board and served on the state governmental affairs committee.
As Clinical Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Dental School, Dr. Wolf has enjoyed teaching and training the next generation of dentists. More locally he has helped coach his sons in little league, soccer and basketball and has spent several years as a den leader for the cub scouts. He has been on the Munster High School booster club board of directors for many years. Through the Donated Dental Services organization, Dr. Wolf enjoys providing the best available care to those in the community who lack the resources to obtain care. He has also volunteered at Richter Dental’s “Dentistry from the Heart” day of free service for many years.
